It is therefore ordered that a rule be awarded against John Easterling Jailor of Carter County returnable on the first day of the next February term of this court to show cause if any why he does not remove to the court house or within the town limits under the act of assembly made and provided in such case restricting jailors of this commonwealth.

 

Ordered that L. T. Whitten be  and he is hereby authorized to solemize

matrimony as Justice of the Peace in this County.

 

Ordered that Court adjourn until tomorrow morning at 10 clock Philip B. Hord, Justice of the Peace and acting judge of the Carter County.

 

Tuesday Morning January 10, 1865 Court met purant? to adjournment presant Philip B. Hord Justice of the Peace and acting Judge of the Carter County Court, Samuel M. David, L. T. Whitten, James A.? Wilhite?, Joshua Roe and John Y. Montgomery

                 Present

 

This day Sheriff of this County produced his delinquint list of County levy for the year of 1864 which the court refued to receive without a mafority of the Justices of this County being associated with him it is therefore ordered that a summons issue for of the Justices of this County to appear in this court on the 30th day of January 1865 for the purpose of holding a county court to receive the delinquint list of the county levy for 1864

 

Ordered that Court adjourn until to (this is crossed out) morrow(this is also crossed out) the 30 day of January 1865 Philip B. Hord, Justice of the Peace, acting Judge
