Kentucky GenWeb projectPortsmouth Daily Times, Saturday, Sept. 1, 1979 Colley SOUTH SHORE Services for Edward Colley, 91, of South Shore, who died Friday at Mercy Hospital in Portsmouth, are planned at 1 p.m. Monday at Roberson Funeral home. A native of Carter County, he was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Van Bibber Colley in 1964. Surviving are his second wife, Minerva Brown Colley of Wheelersburg; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Ockerman of South Shore and Mrs. Irene Taulbee of South Portsmouth; seven stepchildren; a half-brother, Jacob Loop of Sciotoville, Ohio, a half sister, Mrs. Myrtle Gifford of Quincy; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. Roger Madden minister and Rev. Ronald Blevins are to officiate at services, with interment in Sunset Cemetery at Quincy. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 tonight, from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday and until the time of services Monday.
