Hazel "Pauline" ShepherdGALION: Hazel "Pauline" Shepherd, 77, of Galion, died Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Signature Healthcare, Galion, after a long illness. Pauline was born in Carter Co, KY on August 24, 1937 to the late William and Bessie (Morrow) Crockett. Pauline retired from Westinghouse and was employed there over 20 years. She was very proud of her career and made many friends at work. She considered her friends at work part of her family. She loved music, especially Elvis Presley, and in her younger years, Pauline would sing with her brother, Gene's, accompaniment. She is survived by her six children, William "Bill" Shepherd of Mansfield, Pamela and Bob Valentine of Cherry Valley, Ca, Patricia Lail of Phoenix, Az, Tony Shepherd of Mansfield, Dianne Knipp of Galion, and Allen Shepherd of Butler; her 14 grandchildren, Audrey and Adam Valentine, Joseph and Zacharia Halley, Lindsay Lail, Matthew (Jonie) Shepherd, Alicia Knipp, John (Angie) Knipp, Dakota Knipp, Brittany, Corbin, Landon, Nicholas and Penny Shepherd; her four great-grandchildren; the father of her children, whom she was married to for over 20 years, Lester Shepherd of Mansfield; and 13 nieces and nephews. Pauline was preceded in death by her significant other for over 20 years, Thomas Davis; her two brothers, Gene Crockett and James "J.T." Crockett; and her sister Shirley Dingus.Friends may call Wednesday January 21, 2015 from 2 - 4 PM at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North, Galion.
