Mansfield, Ohio James M. Fisher, 74, of Madison Twp., died Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family. James was born November 8, 1932 in Grahn, Kentucky to James Arthur and Edna Louise (Paynter) Fisher. James served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and in the U.S. Army and Air National Guard. He attended Lenox Baptist Church, retired from Buckeye Richland/Horizon Mechanical Inc., and was a member of the Eagles. James was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and a friend to all who knew him, who will be sadly missed by all. Surviving are two daughters, Deborah (Chris) Johnson and Stephanie Kennedy both of Mansfield; two sons, James Douglas (Diane) Fisher and David (Patricia) Fisher both of Mansfield; fourteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; five brothers, Harold (Freida), Larry (Ellie), Charles, Bobby, and Terry (Bonnie) Fisher; two sisters Nell Jackeline Stegall and Louise Birchfield; and his former wife and best friend, Joyce Hardwick. James was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Steven; and one daughter, Kathy Lavone. Friends may be received from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2007 at Werner Funeral Services, 175 W. 3rd Street, Mansfield. Full military honors will be performed by the Richland County JVC at 5:00 p.m at the funeral home. Funeral will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Herman King officiating.
