Leatha Haney Biggs Leatha Haney Biggs, 80 of 335 Gay Place Jackson, Ohio, formerly of Allen Road Beaver, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2000 at Southern Ohio Medical Center, Portsmouth, Ohio after a long illness. She was born July 31, 1920 in Olive Hill, Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Rev. Herbert and Charlotte Rice Haney. She married Lawrence K. Biggs July 29, 1939 in Olive Hill, Kentucky. Surviving besides her husband are a son Lawrence Biggs Jr. of Cambridge, Ohio; daughters and son-in-laws, Sara and Ronald Bailey of Montague, Michigan; Mrs. Janet Goff of Jackson, Ohio and grandchildren, Sara and H.G. Biggs of Beaver, Ohio; Michelle and Hurston McGraw of Beaver, Ohio; Gayle and Richard Andrews of Whitehall, Michigan; Ron and Marilee Bailey of Freemont, Michigan; Megan Biggs of Ripley, West Virginia and James Biggs of Charlotte, North Carolina; two nieces, Glorius and Jr. Hensley and Alberta and John Jones. Mrs. Biggs was preceded in death by two sons James Ray Biggs and Herbert Biggs; three brothers, Harry Dixon, Clarence and Clyde Haney. Services were held Saturday August 5, 2000 at the Bethesda Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Dan King officiating. Burial in Beaver Union Cemetery, Beaver, Pike County, Ohio.
