Curtis Elmer Hay, age 85, of Glenford, OH , passed away on Sunday, October 7th, 2007 at his residence.

He was born September 12th, 1922, at Carter County, KY a son of the late Thurman and Goldie Fannin Hay.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maldie Johnson Hay in 2001; sisters, Ada Lattimer, Carrie Nolan, Betty Mullins, and infant sisters, Ruby and Ruthie Hay; brother, Elbert Hays and infant brother, Arnold Hay.

He was a machinist with Rockwell International, a U.S. Army Veteran and was of the Baptist faith.

His survivors include: 4 sons, Curtis Elmer Hay Jr. of Pataskala, OH , Thurman Hay of Glenford, OH , John Fitzgearld Hay and Tommy Wayne Hay both of Grayson, KY ; 6 daughters, Patsy Ann McCoun and Bonnie Lou Stanley both of Fultonham, OH , Elizabeth Lee Bennett and        Carolyn Sue Cross both of Newark, OH, Lucille Peck of Thornville, OH and Joyce Elane Loy of Marysville, OH ; 1 brother, Walter Hayes of Newark, OH ; 1 sister, Florence Sparks of Grayson, KY; 24 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 11th, 2007 at 11:00am at the Malone Funeral Home with Delmar Rogers, minister. Burial will be in the EastCarterCountyMemoryGardens . Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, October 10th, from 6-9pm and Thursday after 9:00am until service time at the funeral home.
