Orville Hay 

1919 – 2007 



Orville Hay, 88 of Grayson passed away Wednesday evening at the Carter County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. 


He was born April 8,1919 in Lawrence County ,Kentucky a son of the late Alfred and Pheobie Ellen Barker Hay. He was retired from the Big Run Coal 
and Clay Company and was owner and operator Hay’s Bait Shop near Leon for over twenty years. He was of the Regular Baptist Faith. 


He is survived by two daughters; Sandy (David) Seagraves of Grayson, and Rita ( T J ) Rogers of Cynthiana, Kentucky, one son, 
David Keith ( Danita ) Hayes, three brothers; Charles Ray Hay of Mansfield ,Ohio , Lawrence (Dick) Hay and Alfred ( June ) Hay both of Grayson. 
Sixteen grandchildren, and twenty-four great grandchildren. 


He was preceeded in death by his wife, Ruby Greenhill Hay, one son, Roy Buddie Hay , two brothers, Clarence(Coley) Hay and John Hay, 
two sisters, Thelma Dickerson and Inez Ketchines.
