Joseph Raymond Hensley II, age 74, of Hitchins, KY went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, November 14th, 2007 in St. Mary’s Hospital Hospital in Huntington, WV .

He was born September 20th, 1933 in New Castle, PA , a son of the late Joseph Raymond and Lora McDavid Hensley Sr.

Joseph graduated from the Universityof Michigan Flint with a major in history and a minor in business. 
He was retired from General Motors of Flint, Michigan as a supervisor in the Chevrolet Division, was a custodian at EastCarterHigh School 
and attended the First Nazarene Church of Grayson.

His survivors include: His wife of 24 years, Carol Coleman Hensley of Hitchins; 1 daughter, Cynthia (and husband Peter) Adolf of Michigan;

6 sons, Joseph (and wife Shelly) Hensley III of Grayson, KY , John Michael (and wife Nikki) of Ohio , Michael Hensley of Michigan ,

Robert (and wife Sue) Moffit of Michigan, Steve (and wife Shelly) Moffit of Michigan and John Robert (and wife Cindy) Levitski of Grayson; 
15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Patricia Lyons and Anita Jacobson both of Ohio ;

1 brother, Sam (and wife Ann) Hensley of Ohio and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 17th, 2007 at 11:00am at the First Nazarene Church of Grayson with Jim Harris 
and Charles Lyons, ministers. Burial will be in the Hensley Family Cemetery . 

Visitation will be held Friday evening, November 16th, from 6:00 to 8:30pm at the church and Saturday after 9:00am until service time at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the First Nazarene Church of Grayson  102 Court Street  Grayson, KY41143 .

Herald-Dispatch, The (Huntington, WV) - November 16, 2007 Deceased Name: Grayson man dies from injuries suffered in crash DAVEYS RUN, Ky. -- A Grayson man involved in a single-vehicle accident in Carter County, Ky., died Wednesday. Kentucky State Police are investigating the accident, which occurred at 11:05 a.m. Saturday along Daveys Run. According to a report from police, Joseph Hensley, 74, was killed after the vehicle he was driving dropped off the shoulder of the roadway over a steep embankment and landed in a ditch. Hensley was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center, where he died of his injuries, according to the report. Alcohol may be a factor in the accident, the report says. Hensley was not wearing his seat belt. Trooper Jim Ryland is investigating the accident.
