Donald L. Kiser (1933-2006) Donald L. Kiser, 73, of Sandy Hook, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2006, at his daughter’s home in Ashland, Ky. He was born June 22, 1933, in Carter County, a son of the late B.L. “Baldie” and Elizabeth Maye Adkins Kiser. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Benny Kiser, and a sister, Betty Lou Flanton. He was a former NACE inspector at NASA Kennedy Space Center in Florida. He was of the Church of God of Prophecy faith, a member of VFW Post 3705 and the American Legion. He was a Korean War veteran. He is survived by his loving wife, Delores Whitt Kiser; a daughter, Tenia Marie Kiser of Ashland; two grandsons, Joshua Don Kiser and Colton Lee Kiser; and a brother, James Edward Kiser of Grayson. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home in Sandy Hook. Burial will be in Kiser Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by Elliott County VFW Post 11428. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be James E. Salyers, Elmer Seagraves, Wayne Blankenship, Keith Ison, Jeff Coleman, Joshua Don Kiser and Colton Lee Kiser.
