THE HERALD Grayson, Ky., Friday, Aug. 14, 1903 PIONEER RESIDENT DEAD On Friday last, Mrs Catherine Nethercutt, widow of the late Moses Nethercutt, died and the remains was entered Sunday in the Grayson Cemetery. Mrs. Nethercutts Maiden Name was Mauk. She was born in Lawrence County near Blaine about four score years ago. Five children, four of whom reside in Grayson M. G., Jas. and Miss Sara Nethercutt and Mrs. J. J. Phillips, another son Geo. now resides in Spokan Wash. Two sons, Wm. and Fred and a daughter Mary had proceeded their mother to the grave. Mrs. Nethercutt was an exemplary woman, beloved by all who knew her and her loss was a severe shock to the family to whom the Herald extends the kindes feeling of sympathy. Note by DKT: The Old Cemetery Index on the Carter County page shows a number of Nethercutt’s buried in the Old Grayson Cemetery.
