Mary M. Barker 
NILES — Mary M. Barker, 74, 718 Baldwin Ave., died at 6:03 a.m. Sunday, March 25, 2007, at her residence following a two-year illness 
with A.L.S. (Lou Gehrig’s disease). 

Mary was a homemaker and a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a virtuous woman.

She was born Oct. 24, 1932, in Gimlet, Ky., to John W. and Amanda Roe Moore Sr., and came to the Niles area in 1953. 
She was a member of the Niles First Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, quilting and especially flower gardening, 
was an active member of the church and a member of the Berean Women’s Missionary Sunday School Class and the Awana Club. 
She also served as a nursery volunteer for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Leo Barker, whom she married May 7, 1949; three sons and two daughters, Ronald (Fawnda) Barker of Niles, 
Jack (Elizabeth) Barker and Robert Barker, both of Hobe Sound, Fla., Cheryl (Ted) Bull of Manassas, Va., and Leisa (Rob) James of Berlin Center; 
two sisters, Dorothy (Joe) Cross of Mineral Ridge and Glenna Archer of Niles; a brother, John W. (Patricia) Moore Jr. of Mansfield; 
six granddaugthers and six grandsons, Kelli Barker, Kyle Barker, Jason Barker, Justin Barker, Riley Barker, Daniel Barker, 
Christine Barker, Marisa (Simon) Nance, Rachel Bull, Amy Bull, Robbie James and Heather James; and a great-grandson, Samuel Nance. 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Katie Barker, and a brother, Delbert Moore. 

Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 28 and one hour prior to the service, 
which will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2007, at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, Niles. 
The Rev. G. Ben Reed will officiate. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.
