Grover Arlen Rogers (1929-2007) Grover Arlen Rogers, 78, of Denton, Ky., passed away Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, at his residence. He was born Aug. 21, 1929, in Denton, a son of the late Harm Lewis and Martha Mullins Rogers. He was retired from Columbia Gas and was a U.S. Army veteran during World War II, serving in Germany with the 7th Corps. Preceding him in death were his sisters, Irene Watson, Lorain Bellew, Delphie Black, Mary Waugh, Madgel Rogers and Mavie Cooksey; and brothers Clifton Rogers, Homer Rogers, Hubert Rogers and Clayton Rogers. His survivors include a brother, Harmie Rogers of Grayson, Ky., and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Jerry Farmer, officiating. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens.
