VIRGIE SERGENT Ashland Daily Independent August 17, 1983 Mrs. Virgie Sergent, 86 of Grove City, Ohio, formerly of Carter County, died August 17, 1983 in Monterey Nursing Home in Grove City following an extended illness. Mrs. Sergent was born April 13, 1897, a daughter of the late John M. and Betty Johnson Stephens. She was a member of the United Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Steve Sergent; four daughters, Mrs. Madge McKiddy of Ashland, Mrs. Elsie McDavid of Grayson, Mrs. Vada Wise of Grove City, and Mrs. Lena Lupo of Huntington; three sons, Cline Sergent and Clifton Sergent, both of Ashland, and Carl Sergent of Lexington; 28 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services conducted at Schoedinger-Norris Funeral Home in Grove City by the Rev. Curtis Sheets. Graveside service at Carter County Memory Gardens.
