Lesa Machel Waugh Skaggs Born – 1956 OLIVE HILL – Lesa Machel Waugh Skaggs, age 50, of Olive Hill, passed away Friday, March 2, at Kings Daughters Medical Center, in Ashland. Mrs. Skaggs was born May 7, 1956 in Ashland; a daughter of Mary Lou Leadingham Waugh and the late Hayden Waugh. She was a member of the Dixie Park Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one sister, Jennifer Waugh. She is survived by her husband, Jesse Skaggs; her mother, Mary Lou Leadingham Waugh; one son, Jesse (Lisa) Skaggs; two daughters, Jolena (Nathan) Kees, and Shellia Skaggs; three brothers, Jeff Waugh, Doug Waugh, and Chanie Waugh; seven sisters, Carol Johnson Rice, Conechia Johnson, Retha Mauk, Dawnie Mauk, Belva Shumacher, Lou Jordan, and Sherry Waugh; five grandchildren, Jackie Kees, Jamie Kees, Jesse Kees, Katelyn Skaggs, and Matthew Callihan. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, at Oney-Henderson Funeral Home. Officiating was Terry Harris. Burial followed at Skaggs Cemetery.
