Victoria Brown 1904-2003 Victoria May Wheeler Ison Brown, "Tora," 99, of Winchester, Ohio, passed away Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, in the Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born May 19, 1904, in Elliott County, the daughter of the late Henry W. and Susan Butcher Wheeler. She was also preceded in death by two husbands, P.H. Ison and John Brown; and five children, Willis "Peck" Ison, Glen Ison, Nellie Hall, Roma Ison, and Leona Ison; four brothers, John Wheeler, Issac Wheeler, Claude Wheeler, and Ras Wheeler; two sisters, Alva Ison and Irene Blair; and a step son, Waldo Brown. She was a homemaker and a Methodist. She is survived by six daughters, Lahoma Johnson of Grayson, Gloria Calmes of Irvine, Ky., Irene Trabue of Winchester, Ohio, June Leiter of Plano, Texas, Hellen Cannon of Lumberville, Penn., and Karen Ann Lewis of Winchester; 24 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren; and two step children, Monnie Ethel Wagoner of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Paul Brown of Ashland. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 31, at the Lewis and Ferguson Funeral Home in Sandy Hook at 1 p.m. by Pastor Dan Lamb. Burial will be in the Elliott County Memory Gardens. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
