Juanita W. “Nanny” Haney

GALION – Juanita W. “Nanny” Haney, 80, of Galion, died Sunday morning, August 12, in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital, following a 4-week illness. 
Nanny was born December 30, 1926 in Olive Hill, the daughter of the late William L. and Mary L. (Riley) Wilburn. She had lived in Loudonville, 
Wooster and Olive Hill before moving to Galion a few years ago. She was a machinist for 10 years at The Flexible Company, retiring in 1983. 
She was a 1996 graduate of the Hadley School for the Blind, exactly 50 years after her original class graduate from high school. 
She was studying to become one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and attended the Mansfield East congregation. 

Nanny is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Toni and John Knipp of Mansfield; three grandchildren, Jay, Eric (Jill) and Josh (Katie) Knipp; 
three step-grandchildren, Eric Drouhard, Ryan Drouhard, and Melissa Martinez; three great-grandchildren, Mia, Lucas, and Evan Knipp; 
one step-great-grandchildren, Ashley King; one daughter-in-law, Deb Drougard of Perrysville; one sister, Irene Caudill of Olive Hill; 
and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Tim Haney in 1999; three brothers, Alva, Mac and Billy Wilburn; 
and five sisters, Thelma Caudill, Delma Hall, Alma Lewis, Lorene Knapp, and Alice Wilburn.

Funeral services were held Thursday, August 16 at 10:30 a.m. in the Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home in Loudonville, conducted by her grandson, Josh Knipp. 
Burial followed in the Greenlawn Cemetery Cemeteryin Perrysville.
